Genesis Block
Relaunched 2026-11-01 00:00:00 UTC · Unix 1793491200
The Genesis timestamp remains the canonical launch marker. The network truly went live when the first hashes were solved. No premine, no reset, no turning back.
LBTC is a Proof-of-Work blockchain built for the people who arrived late to Bitcoin and never stopped thinking about it.
Bitcoin launched in 2009. Most of us heard about it years later, watched the price climb, and quietly accepted that we'd missed the ground floor. LBTC is a fresh start — same founding principles, a modern feature set, and a fair launch where everyone begins at block zero.
Since genesis, the network has grown to include:
CPU-mineable PoW. No ASICs required. Every block reward goes to whoever finds the next hash.
21 million LBTC, ever. Early stake unlocks, NFT mints and memecoin launches burn LBTC for good. Live totals on the economics page.
Mint, trade, and redeem NFTs directly on the base chain. No smart contracts, no gas wars, no layer-2 tax.
Yield comes from real app revenue — not inflation, not promises. If usage is zero, yield is zero.
Lock LBTC on the base chain, mint wLBTC on Arbitrum. Or burn wLBTC to get native LBTC back. Paused on the relaunched chain (1 Nov 2026) until there is a published plan for wLBTC minted on the first chain.
Launch a coin in 60 seconds. Instant liquidity, creator royalties, NFT minting on top of any coin. Built on the chain's own economy.
Latecomers are priced out, patronized, and left out. Existing crypto projects solve this by launching another token that the founders already own.
Five rules that don't bend, no matter what the price does.
Every LBTC in existence was mined by someone running the software. No founder allocation, no treasury reserve, no venture round.
The mainnet genesis block rewards the first miner with the same 50 LBTC as block one million. No VIP round. No presale discount.
Everything documented here is already live on mainnet. The bridge runs 24/7. The memecoin platform has real coins. The wallet encrypts real keys.
21M hard cap, and multiple mechanisms remove LBTC from circulation permanently. Deflation isn't a feature — it's structural.
No KYC to mine, no permission to mint, no approval to bridge, no whitelist to launch a coin. The chain is open.
A Proof-of-Work blockchain designed to be mined by ordinary hardware, not just industrial farms.
Every ~3 minutes, a miner somewhere on the network finds a SHA-256 hash that meets the current difficulty target. That block is broadcast to peers, verified by every node, and added to the chain. The miner earns 50 LBTC plus all fees paid by transactions in that block.
Difficulty re-targets every 5 blocks to keep block production near the 3-minute target. The adjustment window is short by design — the network reacts quickly to hashrate changes so block times stay predictable.
| Parameter | Value | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Block time target | 180 sec | Roughly 3 minutes |
| Difficulty window | 5 blocks | Fast retarget |
| Adjustment cap | 0.05× – 2.0× | Never more than 2× up per window |
| Hash algorithm | SHA-256 | Same family as Bitcoin |
| Mempool cap | 500 txs | Oldest evicted when full |
| Max txs per block | 50 | Prevents bloat |
Proof of Work decides who can make a block. These rules, enforced by every LBTC node since November 2026, decide that the block that wins each round is the one with the most work, that blocks carry the transactions people are waiting for, and that no single miner or wallet can crowd everyone else out. None of them changes a block's contents or its hash: they only decide which valid block is accepted, and when.
| Rule | What it does | Value |
|---|---|---|
| 3-minute floor | A block is accepted at least 180 seconds after the previous one, measured by the node’s own clock. | 180 s |
| Best-block selection | During each 3-minute window the node remembers every valid next block (real proof of work, up to 64 candidates). When the window opens it accepts the one with the lowest hash, the most work, that passes every check. The winner is decided by work, not by who reaches the node fastest. A one-second timer makes sure the chain never waits for anyone to re-send. | lowest hash wins |
| Fair streak | After one address wins 2 blocks in a row, its next block waits until 6 minutes after the last one, so other miners get a real 3-minute chance. The Fair Pool is exempt, because it is many miners. | 2 wins · 360 s |
| Must-carry | Once valid transactions have waited 3 minutes, a block that carries none of them is refused. Safety valve: if no block has been found for 15 minutes, one empty block is allowed so the chain keeps moving. | 180 s · 900 s |
| Stall easing | If no block arrives for 9 minutes (for example when hashrate suddenly drops), difficulty eases: twice as easy at 18 minutes, up to 64×. The chain can’t freeze. | after 9 min |
| Fair mempool | Miners receive a batch that always starts with the oldest valid transaction, sized for GPU miners. Valid transactions are never deleted; the queue is public at /api/mempool/health. | oldest first |
| Per-wallet limit | One wallet can have at most 5 transactions waiting. A sixth (a send, a trade, an NFT action) waits until a block takes some, so one bot can’t fill the queue. | 5 waiting |
| Timestamp check | A block stamped more than 15 minutes in the past is refused. | 900 s |
The explorer shows when each block was really mined: the moment the network accepted it. The miner's own timestamp (when it started that job) is shown underneath. The acceptance time is kept in a separate record, so the block itself and its hash never change.
The proof of work is the SHA-256 of the whole block (sorted JSON), so a miner may count in any field. Modern miners use work_nonce, which sorts last, and a mining_pad that lines it up: every attempt is then a single 64-byte SHA-256 block, however many transactions the block carries, so full blocks mine as fast as empty ones. The header nonce stays 0. The official miner does this since v68 (see section 21).
21 million LBTC. Fixed supply, halving every 210,000 blocks, no exceptions.
Like Bitcoin, LBTC has a hard cap of 21 million coins. Block rewards start at 50 LBTC and halve every 210,000 blocks. The final LBTC will be mined sometime in the next century.
| Era | Blocks | Reward | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Era 1 | 0 – 210,000 | 50 LBTC | Launch era |
| Era 2 | 210,000 – 420,000 | 25 LBTC | First halving |
| Era 3 | 420,000 – 630,000 | 12.5 LBTC | |
| Era 4 | 630,000 – 840,000 | 6.25 LBTC | |
| Era 5+ | 840,000+ | 3.125 → 0 | Continues halving |
Every transaction on LBTC costs 0.0001 LBTC in network fees. Fees go straight to miners, alongside the block reward.
Unlike most modern chains, LBTC does not inflate to fund anything. Miners receive the full block reward plus all transaction fees. Application-layer fees flow through the treasury system described in Section 9.

LBTC's supply doesn't just stop growing — it shrinks. Every major app-layer action removes LBTC from circulation, permanently.
There are three paths that burn LBTC, and several that feed a permanent reserve that never gets distributed:
Fees flow into the permanent reserve — a single yield-bearing pool that pays stakers forever. Memecoin launches contribute 100 LBTC per launch (20% of the 500 LBTC fee). RWA registrations and fractionalizations route 100% to treasury. NFT mints route 20% to treasury, 80% to escrow. Every fee source eventually compounds into the reserve.
| Fee source | Burn | Reserve | Treasury / Escrow |
|---|---|---|---|
| Memecoin launch (500 LBTC) | 50 (10%) | 100 (20%) | 350 → Treasury (70%) |
| Memecoin trade fee | — | 0.40% to LP | 0.10% to creator · forever |

NFTs on LBTC are not smart contracts. They are first-class objects on the base chain — minted, owned, transferred, and redeemed without leaving the ledger.
Every NFT has a name, description, image URL, rarity tier, and an escrow balance that sits in a dedicated on-chain address. When you redeem an NFT, the escrow balance returns to you automatically and the NFT is marked BURNED — but stays visible forever on the explorer.
| Rarity | Mint Cost | Escrow (refundable) | Treasury | Reserve |

Only user NFTs, minted by a person who paid the mint cost with LBTC put in escrow, count in the tier supply, the "minted", "owners" and floor numbers. Redeeming one returns its escrow (72% of the mint cost) minus a 1 LBTC redeem fee.
game): items from LBTC Farm and LBTC Survivors (gear, relics, pets, Founder items). Minted free by the games’ authority wallet, they have no escrow, can’t be redeemed for LBTC and have their own fixed supplies./api/nft/mint/costs returns total_minted (user NFTs) and game_and_chain_nfts.Two ways to stake on LBTC: locked pools (30–365 days, higher APR) and liquid staking (no lockup, use your capital while it earns). The flexible route mints stLBTC — a yield-bearing token you can hold, trade, or use in DeFi while your LBTC keeps accruing yield underneath.
| Parameter | Value |

| Early exit | 0.5% fee, always instant | 5 LBTC fee, only if locked |
| Best for | Capital flexibility | Maximum yield commitment |
Anyone can verify liquid staking activity on-chain:
GET /api/liquid-stake/stats — total staked, stLBTC supply, current rate, holder countGET /api/liquid-stake/balance/<address> — a specific wallet's stLBTC balance and valueImportant: the 7.5% APY is a target, not a promise. Actual yield is funded from real network activity — when the Reserve earns more, distributions rise; when activity is low, they fall. stLBTC value only moves up, but the rate of growth is variable.
Stakers earn from real application-layer revenue through a dynamic income-based distribution engine. Every payout is a signed on-chain transaction.
All app-layer fees flow into the Reserve — a single pool that distributes to active stakers every 100 blocks. The amount per round is dynamic: 70% of the recent average inflow, capped at 20% of the reserve balance to prevent shock moves. Longer lock commitments receive a proportionally larger share of each distribution.
Stakers choose a lock duration. Longer commitments earn a proportionally larger share of every distribution.

Any wallet can propose. Any wallet can vote. Vote weight equals LBTC balance at the time of voting — plus any LBTC delegated to you. A proposal only passes if at least 4% of supply votes.
Governance on LBTC is intentionally simple. There are no delegated councils, no multi-sig override, no founder veto. Proposals are created directly on-chain, voting lasts 14 days, and the results are public.
Any address with a positive LBTC balance can submit a proposal with a title, description, and voting options.
Your vote weight equals your LBTC balance plus any delegated LBTC at the moment you cast it. Delegation is supported. No lockups, no vote buying.
Every proposal runs for exactly 14 days. No early closure, no extension, no manipulation of the timeline.
A proposal only passes if at least 4% of the total LBTC supply participates. Below quorum, the proposal fails regardless of the FOR/AGAINST split.
Every proposal and vote is recorded on-chain with a transaction hash. Anyone can audit the outcome.

Launch a memecoin in 60 seconds. Instant liquidity, creator royalties, NFT minting on top of any coin. Built on a bonding curve.
Launching a memecoin costs 500 LBTC, split as:
Coin creators earn 0.10% of every trade, forever. Launch once, earn on every buy and sell for the lifetime of the coin. There is no cliff, no vesting, no clawback.
Every memecoin can have its own NFT collection. Minting costs 1,000 tokens of the coin itself — permanently burned. This gives each memecoin a second, scarcer asset class on top of the fungible token, and reduces the coin's supply with every mint.
Real-world assets — watches, art, collectibles — split into tradeable fractions on LBTC. Every fraction lives on-chain. Every trade is permanent.
Registration and fractionalization turn a physical asset into a native on-chain instrument. An owner registers the asset, pays a submission fee, and receives a certification that lets them mint fractions (up to a declared maximum). Fractions trade peer-to-peer on LBTC's on-chain order book — no intermediary, no off-chain matching, no trusted custodian beyond the physical asset itself.
| Action | Fee | Destination |
|---|---|---|
| Asset registration | 1,500 LBTC | Treasury |
| Asset certification | — | Admin review, no fee |
| Fractionalization | 2,500 LBTC | Treasury |
| Fraction trade commission | 0% (beta) | — |
RWA_TRADE|#4|[email protected]. The complete ownership history of every fraction is verifiable on the explorer. Nothing is stored off-chain.
The first RWAs fractionalized on LBTC include collectible Rolex watches (Rolex Daytona 116518LN, Rolex Cosmograph Daytona) with declared valuations up to 100,000 LBTC per watch, split into millions of tradeable fractions. Anyone with an LBTC wallet can buy in, hold, or resell — no intermediary, no minimum.
Invite friends. Earn LBTC on every action they take — forever. Fully on-chain, no caps, no manual approvals.
LBTC's referral program is on-chain from end to end. When a new wallet registers through your link, the relationship is written to the chain permanently — it can never be reassigned, hidden, or clawed back. From that moment on, every fee your referred user generates credits a percentage to your wallet automatically.
Referral credits come from the fee generated by the referred user — not from their principal. Every action credits the referrer on every occurrence, forever.
| Action taken by referee | Referrer earns | Example |

Referral credits accumulate in your pending balance in real time as your referees act. The chain automatically settles all pending balances every 20 blocks (~45 minutes at current block times):
Every 20 blocks, the node scans all referrers with a pending balance and pays each one from the Reserve. No action required — the LBTC just shows up in your wallet.
Don't want to wait? The "Claim Now" button on the referral dashboard triggers an immediate payout. Same source, same speed, no fee.
All referral payouts come from the Reserve — the same pool that pays stakers. Deep, sustainable, and never dependent on Treasury flows.
Earnings, referrals, pending balance, and payment history are all visible in real time at latebitcoiners.com/referral. Every payout is an on-chain transaction.
?ref=<your_address>. When a new wallet connects with the parameter present, the relationship is written to the chain. The LBTC wallet runs entirely in your browser. Private keys are encrypted client-side, and the encryption never leaves your device.
The LBTC Arcade is the chain's on-chain game hub — four playable titles, an in-game currency called Shards, and a transparent staking system that pays real LBTC from the Reserve Fund.
Every game is fully playable in the browser at latebitcoiners.com/arcade:
latebitcoiners.com/arcade/prince.Playing any game awards Shards proportional to your score. Shards have three uses:
Items can be bought with either Shards (in-game) or LBTC (real value). Every LBTC purchase is a real on-chain transaction — the LBTC leaves your wallet and enters the treasury, verifiable at latebitcoiners.com/explorer.
Staking is a real financial primitive inside the Arcade. The mechanics are deliberately simple and fully auditable:
(Reserve × 10%) / Total Staked Notional, capped at 15% during beta to protect the reserve. The cap is visible in the UI and is designed to disappear as adoption grows.Every stake, unstake, and claim creates a signed transaction that appears on the LBTC explorer:
ARCADE_STAKE|1000|shards.ARCADE_CLAIM|0.12345678LBTC — the exact amount, from Reserve to your address.latebitcoiners.com/dashboard.10% of every fee that flows through the chain goes to the permanent Reserve. The Reserve's purpose is to fund long-term value — one use is Arcade yield. As the network grows, the reserve grows, and staker rewards grow with it. It's a closed loop funded entirely by real usage: NFT mints, transfers, marketplace commissions, bridge fees, memecoin creation, and swap fees.
The Arcade contains no wagering, no bets, and no pay-to-win mechanics that promise outsized returns. Shards are earned by playing. LBTC purchases buy cosmetics — items with visual value, tradable on the LBTC marketplace. Staking yields come from a pre-funded reserve, not from new deposits. Everything is transparent and verifiable on-chain.
Since November 2026 there is one shard balance on the node for the Arcade, LBTC Farm and LBTC Survivors, shown on the dashboard as "Shards · one balance". Log into any game with your LBTC wallet and you see the same amount, and staking it pays LBTC from the same Reserve Fund pool.
Every page on latebitcoiners.com has an AI Agent in the corner. It is grounded in this whitepaper, aware of the live chain, and can read your connected wallet in real time.
Chat with an agent that knows your wallet — LBTC balance, active stakes, pending yield, memecoin holdings, creator royalties, and arcade shards. Answers come from live chain state, not guesses.
Ask how LBTC works and the agent retrieves the relevant section of this document and quotes it. The retrieval is grounded in the same text you are reading now — the agent does not invent tokenomics.
The agent can generate a plain-English report on what actually happened on-chain — new blocks, memecoin launches, NFT activity, bridge flows, and reserve movement — from live chain state.
Describe a memecoin in one sentence. The agent proposes a name, ticker, description, image concept, and initial bonding-curve parameters — ready for you to deploy.
Surface new launches by measurable signal — liquidity growth, holder count, trade velocity — rather than hype. The agent ranks coins by activity, not by social noise.
If you have launched a memecoin, the agent helps you read your numbers: how the curve is moving, what royalties have earned, and which trades drove the most volume.
Ask the agent to estimate a fair value for an NFT using comparable on-chain sales, rarity tier, mint cost, escrow balance, and recent trades.
The AI Agent is not a separate product — it is a lens over everything else in this whitepaper. If you can see it on-chain, you can ask about it.
A two-way, non-custodial bridge between the LBTC mainnet and Arbitrum One. No. LBTC is an independent Proof-of-Work chain that shares Bitcoin's design philosophy (21M cap, halving, SHA-256) but is written from scratch with a modern feature set — native NFTs, on-chain staking, and a memecoin platform built into the base layer.
Download the LBTC Wallet & Miner from the website, create or import a wallet, and click Start Mining. The miner runs on any modern laptop using CPU only. No ASIC, no mining pool, no permission required.
100% from real application-layer revenue — NFT mint fees, NFT transfer fees, marketplace commission, memecoin launch fees, and early-unlock fees. There is no inflation, no premine unlock, no fixed APR. If app usage is zero, stakers earn zero.
The bridge is a trusted relayer — a single operator verifies deposits and holds vault keys. This is the same model WBTC and Multichain use. Before mainnet, the bridge ownership migrates to a 3-of-5 multisig controlled by independent signers, with a full audit pending.
Every coin launches with 30 LBTC of virtual reserves and 1 billion tokens. The price is determined by the formula price = reserves / supply. Buying increases reserves and pushes the price up. Selling decreases reserves and pushes the price down. Every trade executes instantly at the current curve price — no order books, no waiting, no liquidity issues.
When a coin's real reserves reach 85 LBTC, it graduates. Graduated coins are eligible for DEX listings on Arbitrum via the bridge, and can be wrapped as w[SYMBOL] tokens. Graduation is a milestone, not a guarantee — most coins never get there.
October 1st, 2026. On 1 Oct 2026 the testnet chain was discarded and a fresh genesis block was mined. Everyone who participated in testnet will be able to claim a genesis allocation proportional to their testnet activity.
Real-World Assets (RWAs) are physical collectibles — watches, art, memorabilia — that have been registered on-chain, certified by our team, and split into millions of tradeable fractions. Each fraction is a native LBTC chain asset. Fractions trade on an on-chain order book with no commission during beta. Registration costs 1,500 LBTC; fractionalization costs 2,500 LBTC.
Any wallet can register a referral code on-chain. When a new user signs up with your code, the chain records the relationship permanently. Every fee the referred user generates flows a fixed percentage back to you automatically — visible on the dashboard, claimable on-chain, with a public leaderboard ranking all referrers.
Five lock tiers with proportional rewards: 30D (1×), 60D (2×), 90D (3×), 180D (5×), 365D (7.5×). Minimum stakes scale with the lock: 10 / 50 / 100 / 250 / 500 LBTC. Target APRs range from 3% to 22.5%, though actual yield depends entirely on network revenue — there is no fixed APR and no inflation.
Every 100 blocks (~15 hours), the chain runs a deterministic distribution: it looks at the last 14 rounds of inflow into the Reserve, targets 70% of the average as the payout, floors at 1/584 of the reserve, ceilings at 1/100, and never distributes more than 20% of the reserve in one round. The reserve itself never drops below 10,000 LBTC. Each staker receives a proportionally weighted share as a signed on-chain transaction.
Run a full node on a VPS (see the Run a Node guide), mine LBTC with the desktop miner, launch a memecoin, fractionalize an RWA, mint NFTs, or join the Discord to help with development, design, or community growth. There is no formal team — the project belongs to whoever shows up.
Blocks come at least 3 minutes apart. During each window the node remembers every valid next block and then accepts the one with the lowest hash (the most work) that passes every rule. Who reaches the node first doesn't matter. See Fair Block Production.
Solo pays the whole block reward when you win a block, which can take a long time with a small miner. The Fair Pool (0% fee) splits every pool block by verified work, so small miners earn steadily. LBTC-PRO v69 switches between them with one click.
Modern miners count in work_nonce at the end of the block instead of the header nonce, which stays 0. The proof of work covers the whole block, so these blocks are just as valid, and mining full blocks costs nothing extra.
Yes. With your LBTC wallet linked there is one shard balance on the node for every game and the website (1 Survivors shard = 100 website shards), and you can stake it for LBTC from the Reserve Fund.
No. Only user NFTs, minted with a paid mint cost, hold escrow (72% of the mint cost, returned on redeem minus a 1 LBTC fee). Game and chain NFTs are free items with their own fixed supplies; they can be traded but not redeemed.
One wallet can have at most 5 transactions waiting in the mempool, so a single bot can't crowd everyone else out. Wait for the next block (about 3 minutes) and try again.
LBTC has been developed by a single founder since August 2026. All work — the node, the miner, the bridge, the memecoin platform, the arcade, the front-end, the wallet, and ongoing maintenance — has been done without external funding, venture capital, or a premine.
The current mainnet started with a fresh genesis on 1 November 2026. Infrastructure costs include VPS hosting, relayers, monitoring, RPC access, and continuous development time. The founder works a second full-time job to cover personal expenses while building LBTC.
To fund continued development and infrastructure, a Founder Development Grant is allocated according to the terms below.
| Percentage of block reward | 1.00% |
| Per block (at current 50 LBTC reward) | 0.50 LBTC to founder 49.50 LBTC to miner |
| Total cap | None — 1% of every block reward (at most 1% of the 21M supply, about 210,000 LBTC over the life of the chain) |
| Duration | Every block, from the relaunch (1 Nov 2026 → no end date) |
| Recipient address | 1AvFeYZhJtxL71yjuG7vvBiJKYcuEDS6XP |
| Payment mechanism | Automatic — included in every block’s coinbase |
| Termination | None — the 1% follows the block reward, so it halves with every halving |
latebitcoiners.com/explorer/address/1AvFeYZhJtxL71yjuG7vvBiJKYcuEDS6XP| Chain | Founder allocation |
|---|---|
| Bitcoin | ~5% of first-year supply (Satoshi’s mining, undisclosed) |
| Ethereum (2014 ICO) | ~12% to founders and foundation |
| Zcash | 20% for 4 years (founder reward) |
| Dash | 10% perpetual (masternode / treasury) |
| Decred | 10% perpetual (treasury) |
| LBTC (this grant) | 1% of every block reward, no cap (changed at the 1 Nov 2026 relaunch) |
Continued development will be funded entirely by real application-layer revenue:
If these revenue streams grow as expected, the founder grant will not need to be renewed. If they do not, the community may propose a new grant via governance.
This section was published on 6 October 2026, before the first grant payment appears on-chain. The community is invited to verify every subsequent payment at the address above. Any deviation from these terms constitutes grounds for a community fork.
